At Morrisette Design, we have an obsession with magazine subscriptions and with it being a week into the New Year it is time to start loading up on magazine subscriptions! There are so many design magazines that I love so its difficult to choose my favorite; however, the magazine that I am currently obsessing over is the Design Anthology Magazine. This magazine has everything that I search for in my dream magazine: full page photos, simple and clean lined design, lots of variety (everything from products to architecture), and a focus on design in other countries. Even the paper the magazine is printed on is to die for!

COFFEE TABLE TRANSFORMATION
Posted by Nicole at 10:58 am on 13 January 2017
One of the furniture pieces my husband brought into our marriage was this outdated and blah looking coffee table. I did not like it when we were dating and I definitely did not like if after we were married as a result of it staring at me 24/7. I finally took the time to completely transform it and now I love to stare at it 24/7. I stained the top of the coffee table in a Walnut finish. The base of the coffee table was created using a dry brushing technique with General Finishes Seagull Grey and Driftwood Milk Paints. By the way, I am officially in love with General Finishes Milk paints because they are thick, have great coverage, and brush on extremely smooth (and that's saying something for someone with a severe case of being a perfectionist). Check out the before and after photos and let us know what you think!

DREAMS DO COME TRUE
Posted by Nicole at 4:56 pm on 20 January 2017
With the mark of every New Year, my husband and I put together a dream board that is a collection of places we want to travel to, our dream homes, and anything else that inspires us. Our dreams serve as motivation in our life and make us excited for all the adventures we will have in the future. It is important to never give up on your dreams because they really can come true. It was not too long ago that Melissa and I had the dream of starting up an interior design firm and look at us now! At Morrisette Design, we want to make your dream home a reality. Your home should be more than four walls that you occupy, it should be a reflection of who you are and what you love! Make 2017 the year that you transform your home into a place you never want to leave!
